program to check dead pixels

i just noticed something on my new t41, on program windows (IE, explorer) on the top part i see blocks of pink colored pixels (only see in white windows), more noticeable if i hold it at an angel,

are those dead pixels?
 
haha, I saw that on my T41 I got Friday.

I called IBM adn they told me to do a sys restore!! WTF I'd only had it 1 hour!

while I was chatting with them about some minor up and running questions, I played with my display settings. change it from 16 bit to 32 bit and the problem disappears. I have no idea why they ship them like that and why tech support has n't been issued a FAQ on this.

we should start our own T41 support group..
