Program to backup to CDR?

I am looking to back my MP3 collection (~20GB) to CDR. I am looking for a program to do it. MS-backup with worthless because it only does floppies. Nero does not support the new partition types. Is there anything useful out there for free/cheap?

NTI back up now.

You would be better off getting a DVD burner too.

Why not just find a deal on a HDD? you could prolly get a 40gig for under $50

True. Holding off until they get cheaper and more standard.

I actually do have a bunch of HDDs laying around. I might just do that. Definitely quicker, cheaper, and easier.

Why worry about the standard? Almost all set-top boxes can read DVD+R/RW and any Computer DVD player can read DVD+R/RW. Thats what I ended up getting. I got the 4x DVD+R/RW from Staples for $129 and I couldn't be happier. Also Microsoft has choosen to support DVD+ as their standard in the next OS and Dell sells DVD+ in their systems, the two largest vendors backing makes it a pretty good choice.

So it seems either way you are good to go? No reason to worry about standards because everything can already read the disc.

HD would be the cheapest way to go though

I would use Ghost! Norton Ghost is the absolute best to back up whole partition, drives, files, etc. Actually, I don't remember if you can pick individual folders, but I am sure you can. If not, you can always just throw the mp3 on another partitition with Partition Magic. I would actually use another HD, because CD-Rs are a pain. I keep all my music files on a one computer and access it through my 802.11 connection. I can even stream hi-res video with no problem.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the help guys. I guess what I am going to do is Ghost my MP3 partition to an old 5200PRM drive, but LikeLinus had to do it and get me interested in a DVD writer. I am eyeing the Plextor. It's only $200 this month with rebate and I can clean out my machine by compacting my DVD and CDRW into one unit.
