Program that monitors clipboard and alters text?

I'm looking for a program that could run in my tray and possibly have several search strings that if it finds it would alter the text and change it.

An example of what I want to do is when the contents of the clipboard change to something like:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/produ...3383411&pf_rd_i=507846

it will look for http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/, take the next 10 characters, and discard the rest of the clipboard.

Anyone heard of anything like this?

no, but it is easy enough to do via some c++ and win32 API and some regular expressions.

if you wanted something like that bad enough have somone over at a freelance programmer (google that) website to make it for you.

some of these websites have a lot of freelancers and things can easily get competitive with the prices they offer.
