Program requires mapped drive

A phone recording program that i use runs as a service. I am saving all the calls on a mapped drive but windows does not remap the drive at startup only at login.

How can i have the drive mapped at startup?

Can the software use a UNC path rather than a mapped drive, e.g. \\computername\share ? I suppose another option would be to set that computer up for auto-logon, if that would work for your purposes.

I wish unc would work but it wont.

I am running xp as a vm with auto login but would like to do it wwithout the auto login.

Oh, gotcha. If the mapped drive is located on the host OS that's running the VM, you could try having the VM software map the drive for you, if you haven't already tried that. In Virtual PC 2007, you'd double-click the folder icon at the bottom of the VM window to get into the setup for that.

LOL

That is a great idea but...

I am running WHS and the drive extender controld the individual hard drives. Any other thoughts?
