Program Migration Problem

Aloha POS 4.2.74 from a WinNT4 box to a Win2003 box. Installed from CD and then migrated data. One service simply refuses to run: CTLSVR.EXE, but doesn't say exactly why. Company wants $300/hr for tech help (ouch), though they claim it does work on 2003. Tried setting compatibility mode on the file to no avail. Thoughts on getting it running or at least getting more info on whyit won't? Thank you.

Have double checked and it does work on Win2000, so it's definitely something in (or not in) 2003.

Word from MS is that 2003 security settings are extremely strict and might be hosing the program by limiting permissions and making directories Read Only.
