i have a microsoft keyboard with the added shortcut keys like "back foward, stop, mail, search, etc"

it doesnt require extra software to run the shortcuts which is nice. my question is, is there a way to modify those shortcut keys to run a program of my choice instead of the default? i want to be able to do this without having to run extra software in the backround to control it. maybed edit some file?

Thanx.

Yes, but you'll have to install the Microsoft keyboard software, either from the CD that came with the keyboard, or from their website. The software lets you map the keys to programs if you want.

well... thats doo doo.

i thought maybe there could be a file that i can open with wordpad and edit it or something simple that like... but i guess not. i hate having to run more stuff in the backround then i have to.

im just not gonna do it if i have to run extra software in the backround.
