How can I tell if I have installed a program on the SSD or HDD?

I have a 128GB solid state and a 1TB hard drive. When I go to my C drive, it says 49GB free of 119GB. Why can I not see the hard drive?

Does this mean that all programs I have installed are on the SSD?

I have not setup anything in the computer bios.

Is your HDD formatted? Have you checked that it's recognized in your disk manager?

Yes all your stuff is in the SSD. Is this a new computer? If you can't see your HDD in My Computer then you probably haven't formatted it yet.

This is a new computer that I have built and I am new to all of this.

I cannot see it in disk management.

I can see C: with a capacity of 119GB and system reserved with 100MB.

Any ideas why I cant see the hard drive?

Could be a number of things. SATA cable unplugged, power unplugged, bad power cable or SATA cable, SATA ports not enabled in BIOS, bad SATA port, bad HDD.

Try checking the connections to your HDD first, make sure everything is plugged in firmly. If it doesn't work still, try a different SATA port, maybe a different SATA cable too. Try a different power connector from your power supply.

Also check your BIOS settings and make sure everything is enabled for SATA.
