Program for telling NB temps?

It would have to be your motherboard's BIOS function. If there is no sensor, a program will not help you here.

My P5N-E SLI has a "motherboard temperature" sensor, but not an NB or an SB dedicated one.

Everest is the best program for monitoring EVERYTHING, as krnmastersgt said.

Otherwise, use an infrared thermometer like this one:

Is it about your 780i board? MCP temperature can be seen from the latest Everest. You can download a trial. (no installation needed) If you're curious about NB (SPP) temperature, only way is to use a thermal sensor or an accurate laser thermo-gun. Idle MCP temperature can also be seen in the BIOS as well.

take an 80mm fan and put it on top of your vid card facing towards the NB heatsink, works wonders and you don't have to worry about nb temps unless you have it volted up super high
