I installed a program on my computer a while back and i broke the cd for it......the program is still on my computer but I wanna install a fresh version of xp......but I do not want to lose that program.....is there a way i can burn the program on my computer onto a cd so that I can istall it again when i install fresh? thanks alot

No, you cant really do that.

If you legally have the program I see nothing wrong with downloading it via P2P.

You might wanna contact the company, you might be able to get a new cd somehow.

I don't think you can do it, at least not easy. Too many files could be installed in too many locations. Much better will be to hunt this program on Internet.

Not often, most programs set up information in the registry and many also install and register DLL/OCX files in the Windows System folder.

If you have proof of purchase you can often get a replacement CD from the manufacturer for $5-25.
