Program Association

I receive several newsletters (Newsmax) along with some e-mail attachments that I have never had problem reading. All of a sudden when I try to open, I get the following message:

This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please insatall a program or if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs Control Panel.

What program can I download to be able to read these? I have no earthly idea what I am doing here...any detailed info would be greatly appreciated. Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

What did you read them with before? I don't know much about those formats, but Thunderbird might be worth a try.

Yeah, I can understand your problem.

You want a solution and you must keep in secret what type of files they are and what the extension of the files is?

AFAIK there is No reader for files filename.unknown

If it is pdf file download this and make it the default reader for pdf.
