Program / app to check cpu temp on macbook

I've used iStat Pro for years, not only do you get cpu temp, you get a ton of other system stats as well. Seems like the developer no longer supports the dashboard widget version as the new version is notification center based and not free.

So I'd recommend trying out the free iStat pro 4.92 widget, it works in Yosemite, you can download it here:

Use the direct link. When you first try to install it, it'll say it's not allowed due to Security Preferences as default is Mac App Store and Identified Devs. Go to security&privacy and in General, allow that app to install. Then in Dashboard click plus sign to add it to the dashboard.
