Is it possible to program speakers to a Comcast remote control? I have two speaker systems that I would like to do this with (separate remotes). One is an Altec Lansing system and the other is Logitech (Z-5500).

Doubt it would have the compatible codes. You'd need a learning remote of some kind that could control the cable box and the speakers. The Harmony line of remotes would certainly be a good choice.

You can spend as little as $25 for a refurb when they appear on ebay daily deals (last time it was the 659 model) or as much as $211 for a new Harmony 890 (I think that's the top-of-the-line model). Amazon also sells it refurbished for $130.

The best deal on a lower-priced model that I see right now is $50 for a new 510.

All the models basically do the same thing, but with different levels of finesse, bells, and whistles. For what you're wanting to do, the cheapest model would likely do it as well as the most-expensive one.
