What free software do you guys recommend for a C compiler on Windows?
I've mostly used gcc/vendor compilers on Unix boxes so the windows environment is new to me.

The software thread mentions the MS express suite. I think they need the .NET components to be installed as well. What are the primary advantages/comparisons of say devC/watcom/express ?

Also what are some good websites for programming in general?
