Proformance vs hd rpms?

I'm juggling the idea of picking up a 36gig 10,000 rpm sata hd to put my OS and main games on, and putting all my storage on my current 80gig 7200rpm hd (music/porn 🙂) Would I notice a diff. with my OS and games running on a faster hd?
