Profile Question: Email Addresses??

Pohemi

Lifer
When you click on the link to see someone's profile info, why is REMOVE always stuck in the middle of their email address? For example, my address is Pohemi@charter.net. But if you look in my profile, it shows up as Pohemi@chaREMOVErter.net. Why does this happen? It's not hard to write down someone's email address if you want to send them an email, but the email address in the profile is supposed to work like a link. How is it supposed to work when REMOVE is always stuck in there? Seems kinda pointless to make it a link... :frown:

It is an anti-spam measure and this is the 482nd post on this subject in this forum. Please search next time.

OK sorry for not searching first, and thanks for the answer...but I'm still wondering why does the email line show up as a link in your profile then? Is that just a system auto thing?

FuseTalk automatically links all email, http, ftp, etc. links any time it encounters them.

So if I randomly type http://random.net/ it should get linked, just like if I put in haha@you.com it will get linked. It is just a "feature" of the software, just like adding REMOVE is a "feature". It's just that all of their features don't play well together.

🙂

Edit: I guess I was wrong about it linking email addresses. Hmm.
