Professional Services Engineer

Hi

I applied for a professional services engineer position (mainly in server side) and background is software engineering. and this position required heavy implementation skills e.g. java, J2EE. my question is what relationship between professional services and software engineering, I thought professional services is kind of customer support and to have implementation skills is not that important.

Thanks

welcome to the forums.

you should really read the job description first. then check if the job fits. they will interview you and see if you're a good match. you can also call anonymously and ask them what the specific responsibilities are of the task, or you can wait till they contact you and just go along with it.

it won't hurt. worst comes to worst, you don't get hired.
