Anyone who knows me well knows I'm addicted to the spicy big crunch sandwich at KFC. I once tried the sandwich at Wendy's but it just wasn't the same. The one from KFC was always massive, the meat protruded from the bun and was extremely thick. The only way I could justify the cost was the satisfaction I had when eating it.

That's all gone to shit now.

I went there today looking forward to a nice sandwich. My brother and I both got the spicy big crunch (~$10.50 or so). I get home, open mine up, take a bite then yell out a big "WHAT THE FUCK?". I look at it and the meat, instead of one big piece, is now two strips. Thinner. Less sauce than usual, also (the sauce is the best part). The bun is thicker to make it look thicker.

Overall, I give this sandwich a 3/10. I can't justify the cost of it anymore if it's not satisfying.

Anyone else notice this "change", or is it slowly spreading?

The Wendy's sandwhich used to be a 10/10 as well, untill they changed the recipe 3-4 years ago.

It could be an isolated incident.

My favorite sandwich at McDonalds (Hot 'n Spicy Chicken Sandwich) was replaced with the regular Chicken Sandwich at a single location. All the other McDonalds in my area continued to sell Hot 'n Spicies.

Dude, ease up. Maybe they didn't change the chicken they put in the sandwich, maybe your KFC just ran out of that particular type of chicken today and replaced it with two crispy strips rather than not selling you the sandwich. If it's still like that next week, then you'll know they've change the sandwich.

try a different one.

It's not like the colonel is in the back of every KFC, making a spicy big crunch just for you.

The chicken just isn't quite the same. Plus, no sauce. I don't get anything at KFC except the sandwich, and I rarely eat any other fast food (McDonald's like once a month).

It's the only one nearby. I've been several times and it seems to have just changed. I'm going to go in and complain; they most certainly lost my business. I'll have to scope out the next closest KFC and see if it's worth it.

Dude, you can get boneless chicken for under $2 a pound, huge buns for 50 cents a piece and make up hot sauce for next to nothing. I make killer buffalo chicken sandwiches for about $1.50 that blow away fast food chicken sandwiches.

I hear Costco has meat in the same shape/style as KFC used to have. I'll try to see if I can make them up well enough for myself. I would feel a lot better that way.

Damn, that is what I was thinking. If you eat them often at all this is the way to go. Plus you can put exactly what you want on it, and if your drunk you can put 2/3 pound of meat on one sandwich. Try to get KFC to do that.
