Anyone know when these chipsets are going to hit manufacturers so that we can actually buy them? Also, which companies are going to be going with the Sis 735? I heard ASUS would, but they're already behind on production with the A7M266.. anyone help me here?

I'm hoping Abit or Asus will make a board based on this chipset. If not then I guess Epox is next in line. After that I'll just evaluate whats out there. Who know if PCChips has a cheapo SIS board out . . . :). I've pretty much made up my mind though that this is the chipset I want to upgrade with. I can wait for it though. With the prices of DDR ram falling like they are ($2-3 per day on pricewatch) it's probably a good thing to be waiting if you don't already have the ram. I think I'm going to wait until palomino comes out too. I really want this upgrade to go back to college with and it'll be out in August which is just in time.

Anyone know where I can find reviews on the Sis 735 or the nvidia "crush" chipsets? I've heard nothing but good things about both of them, but would like to do more research. I am going to upgrade but I can wait, so I'll wait till some boards come out with one of these chips and then go with the Athlon 4 (Palomino). Thanks for any suggestions.

The skinny is that motherboards with the SIS chipset will not be available until the fall...

Anaconda: If you want a REALLY cheap solution right now there is a PCChips board available (the 817LMR, search on pricewatch) for only $67 that's based on the Ali Magik1 chipset (supports DDR). PCChips isn't the best mobo manufacturer, but they do work.

Pers: I know they have a higher RMA rate than most, but that doesn't bother me. If the board doesn't work I'll send it back (and I'm VERY satisfied with my BE6 that I have now).
