i just built a new system for my brother. i was debating about registering the products and whose information to use since i purchased all the parts.
i know some companies like ultra and evga will upgrade the warranties to lifetime if registered within 30 days so i'll be sure to register those. but i've read that some ppl (mostly apple users) will actually wait until there is an issue and then register before calling for support. but don't they usually ask for proof of purchase anyway (or if not, they go by the manufacturing date of the product itself)?
my brother also told me to use my information when registering as my name/info is on all the order receipts etc. but could/should/would it be better to just use my brother's information?
