Linkage

Thanks to another thread with a sound card I thought I would post this for I didnt know anything like this was around. I been wanting to take up lessons and this is a SUPER cheap way to dip into learning how to play piano. Walmart sells it for $48.87, get it for $20 + tax, come out to $22 at my 9.9% tax bracket.

I cannot wait for this product to show up, I am going to have a BLAST for sure!

Standard USB-compatible keyboard
37 mini-sized music keys with touch-sensitivity
Snap-on color faceplate
Removable palm rest (Music keys cover)
Music button
Enhanced function key lock
Customizable hotkeys
System control hotkeys
Media playback buttons
Volume control wheel

This link, though different model, shows several demos of what your able to do with this keyboard.

this seems very promising. However, my daughter's laptop came with Vista and I'm not letting her near my PC (which wouldn't be much use since I'm currently testing windows server 2008 on it). Anybody find Vista drivers for this?

I have one and it's nice but it doesn't work with Vista. :(

Supposedly, the newest versions are being shipped with a Vista driver CD but Creative Labs doesn't seem to have it available for download.

Hmmm, thanks. I'll have to try it out. But it still bothers me that Creative doesn't have this available on their website. They have got to be the weirdest company with regards to providing easy access to drivers for their products.

Well I got mine and I am super happy with it. Got one for my son and the both of us are just having a complete blast with it. Does soooooo much more then just being a piano with sound effects and making your own music with the fun keys.

And if you can get this to work can down load more fun keyd tunes. So far though I keep getting error out with firefox and IE.

And to think its now $30 more!!!!! Its now gone from $20-$50! I am very glad I got mine when I did, and the keyboard for typing is great as well, kinda like the keys on a laptop, low profile and every button pressed registers, not like my old HP one I was using before this. Now I get to play music, song, and effects, and no more typing errors all for $20, this was a super deal and feel sorry for those who missed it. But even for $50 its a ton of fun for cheap, and works as it was described to. Videos dont do it much justice, its a lot more fun in hand then it was just seeing the product video of it. I highly recommend everyone to try this thing out, even if you dont know how to play, like me, its a huge time waster with all the other fun it does, or trying the lessons to really learn how to play.

IF ANYONE knows a site that gives free video lessons please reply in here or pm me with a link!! I want to start learning how to actually play.
THANKS

I Concur, I got mine yesterday and I've been nothing but impressed with my purchase. The software has some tutorials on it, although you need to know some basic music theory regarding notes and measures I suppose.

One fo the better features is that the actual Computer Keyboard is solid. The keys are smooth and responsive, and the hotkeys are nice. I Think my only complaint is that they musical keyboard is not too sensitive, as you need to press down firmly to hit the keys.

Other than that it's a great product

I did not, just XP disc.

But in typical Creative fashion the back of my box has a sticker on it saying the product has a 1 year warranty, but they covered up what was on the box that says it had a 2 year warranty. What a move on creative's part to not bother to fix the box but cover up the warranty from 2 years to only one. WTF, its like a slap in the face kinda when you peel back a sticker and see that :p
