Processors

Could anyone explain what the difference in these processors is? Looked on the AMD site all I could come up with is one has E3 stepping and one has E6. What does that mean?

The E6 stepping is a later revision of the Venice core. What this means is it has a few optimizations to make it better (I believe support for DDR500 memory is one of them, but maybe thats for all Venice, I can't remember).

Traditionally its overclockers who make a big deal about stepping, as its common for certain ones to overlock better and the easiest way to tell is by the stepping.

Aside from that, they're both great performing, cool running, and inexpensive CPUs.
