Just an Update:

New Adapter: still stuck at 800mhz
both old and new AC adapter is recognized as 130W adapter

New CPU same speed: still stuck at 800mhz

Downgraded to old Bios:: still stuck 800mhz

Its probably a Motherboard problem

Does any one know of a non dell bios compatible with this lap top? one that I can adjust multiplier or FSB manually

Peace

RMClock I will give it a try

Did not have any luck with the other software options (quickset) it would just reboot. I think DELL has these laptops locked down in the bios at least for software overlocking.

OMFG

RMClock works was able to clock my CPU to 2000mhz. Thank you Hacp, I was ready to give up on this laptop as replacing the motherboard was not really cost effective.

Thanks a million.

Now if I can find a similar software in Linux (mint) I am golden otherwise I am more than happy to stick with Windows 7.

Woohoo
