Processor Stress Tests

Is there any software out there that could trigger the system freezes I am sometimes getting when running games by putting stress on the GPU and/or CPU? What about tests for other components like sound card and motherboard?

I use GL Excess for GPU stressing, it has specific tests (well kind of) for GPU and VRAM and CPU.
I use GL Excess to test video memory clock speeds on its VRAM tests, and GPU on its GPU tests. I use Super Pi to test CPU (it will give errors if there are instabilities, and be unable to calculate).
