Processor Overclock-problem?

OK, here's the deal. I have the Amd Athlon XP Tbred A 1700+, overclocked to 1666 mhz, and I have no problems if I leave the computer on normally, run prime95, play games, or whatever-NEVER any problems there. Prime95 ran overnight, by the way. But, when I try to defrag my HD using Norton Systemworks 03, it sometimes freezes (2/3 times leaving it on overnight to do this, and this time it froze at 51%, around 1 hour 30 minutes). Is this a CPU problem, or should I look elsewhere?

Have you overclocked by increasing the FSB frequency, and what mobo do you have/does it have a PCI lock? Could be that running your FSB out of spec has upped the PCI freq. and messed up the HDD a bit, causing the problems.

Nope, I stick to multiplier overclocking. It's an Asus A7V333.
