I have a gigabyte ? 7vax motherboard with 256mb DDR PC2700 chip of ram. My processor speed is supposed to be 2.08GHz but it?s running at 1.26GHz. Their are some switches next to the processor (1-6) each one can be turned off and on. Can someone help me get my processor running at the right speed?

Thank you very much

They are jumpers, usually allowing you to adjust the multiplyer. There should be one other switch for the 100Mhz that needs to be switched off. You need to read the manual and it should tell you where to set the jumpers so that it reads the default CPU speed.

The motherboard manual didn't do a good job of explaining which one's to set. In the book it only has 1-5 where my motherboard has 6 jumpers. It says to turn the first one off and the second one on but doesn't say what to do with the other 4? I messed around with them alittle bit but had no luck.
