Just bought a Retail 266Mhz FSB 1.2Ghz Thunderbird from NewEgg. I was able to change my CPU Multiplier without linking the bridges. I have an ASUS A7V133. What could cause this?

The bridges were probably already connected to begin with, that's pretty much the norm for 1.2GHz+ processors now.

Thats cool. That way they will never know if I overclocked or not costing me my 3 year warranty. Anyone else have any insight on whether AMD links the bridges for you.

Listen to Rand...he's right. One thing to note, however, is that the bridges were always connected, just that AMD used to sever the link. Now (1.2ghz and beyond), they've stopped, thank God...
