Processor making wierd sound ???? - any ideas

I have a P3 coppermine 550 that is oveclocked to 733. However , i do not normally run it at 733 . The other day i when i opened the case the cpu was making a wierd noise. It like " tik tik zoo zoo " ...i dunno it's just wierd. For a monet i thought it might be the fan clipping a cable or soemthing but , it wasn't , the sound was definitely coming from the cpu. I would appreciate input and some suggestions ... i hope my comp is not dying on me ...

CPUs don't make any sound. It will have to be the Fan attached to the heatsink. It could be that the bearing in the fan needs a little lubrication. There should be a sticker covering the bearing. just remove the sticker, put a drop of lube in there and cover back up.
