This is really strange. I know they don't have any moving parts so... I have an Athlon 64 X2 3800+ and I benchmarked my system with 3dMark05. When the program started doing its CPU tests, I heard tiny clicking sounds in sync with what was going on on the screen. It was under heavy load at this point as the the game demo was going at about 2-4 fps. I put my ear near the mobo and every time a new frame was rendered, there was an audible click coming from the CPU/heatsink fan area. I'm sure it's not the hard drive since I'm using an Antec p180 case and the hard drive is in the bottom corner of the case. I'm using a Zalman CNPS9500 fan if that helps.
I haven't heard the clicking noise with any other program and i've been running Oblivion at almost full settings. I hope someone can help me solve this. I don't want anything to explode or anything.
