1. Efficeon and Crusoe chips are by far the coolest and most effiecient (with 5-9w full power usage why wouldn't it be)
Well, it's not a very great performer. But it's not used for really anything but simple tasks like running say software that would manage accounts at a doctor's office or something like that. It's not very powerful in comparison to really anything else.
2. Mobile Athlon 64 outpace the both the Turion64 and the Pentium M
Depends on the system and what the task is. The Pentium M clocked at Athlon 64 speed will beat it in gaming for the most part. But, the Athlon 64 is a better all around processor than the Penitum for intensive tasks. But for gaming, the Pentium M is awesome. On another note, Turion is well rounded, but not as good of a performer as the Pentium M or Athlon 64.
3. A desktop Intel P4 like the 570J offered in the Alienware notebooks would kick the crud out of any offering from AMD or Pentium M lol 😉
I don't know whether that emoticon denoted sarcasm or not, but that assumption is wholy incorrect. The Penitum M will crush even a desktop Pentium 4 in gaming. Athlon 64 will do about the samw as the Pentium M. The only area where Intel holds its ground well (which it is slowly losing at this point) is video and some audio encoding.
Anyway...Am I correct in the assumption that you want to game on your notebook?
