process has already exited

someone help me! im using microsoft 2000 and im having trouble opening some programs on my computer. i try to open iTUNES and i always get program error "process has already exited". i also get the same error when i click on some websites like on ps2.ign.com. does anyone have a solution? i tried spyware removal and virus scan.
PLEASE any help is greatly appreciated.

Spyware is still a prime suspect. You may have a malicious BHO object attached to IE and a casual Spyware scan won't pick that up. You may also have a compromised HOSTS file.
