I know this is a simple question but I am working on very little sleep due to my new born daughter.

I purchased the 300GB Seagate SATA as a second SATA drive and went to install it in my 8400. I am using one of the SATA connectors on the motherboard so I don?t think I need any drivers. I physically mounted the drive and then rebooted. The drive is recognized in Disk Management but the Seagate software in windows does not see it. I want to copy image the main drive on to this one so I can use it instead of the old 40GB SATA drive that is in there now. Can someone remind me how it format, partition, copy, etc.? It has been a while since I have done this and the lack of sleep (along with Seagate's "wonderful" tech support) isn't helping me remember. Do I have to use the DOS version of the Seagate Discwizard to do this? Thanks for the help. Sorry for the stupid question.

Boot from the seagate disk, and do it from there, you won't be able to clone the drive from inside windows using the seagate tools.
