This is my first post in this wonderfull comunity, which I visit since year.

Well. I'm from Chile and want to buy a Computer in The USA. I've got about 200bucks for a new processer.
I was considiring the San Diego 3700+, the 3500+Clawhammer and the Opteron 148. (I would prefer and opteron 146 because is 80dolars cheaper than the 148).

I havent see any siriuos comparation between thes processer and I need some help.

Eh...I want to play and OC.
(The only diference between 148 and 146 is the multi?)

Ah...I said the 148 because there isnt any 146 any more in newegg.

Is in the USA any other good and big store like newegg where I could buy all the peaces for my computer? wiredzone (there isnt any 6800gs)? (better in Miami)

Thanks
Bazikstano

(Sorry for my bad english. Soy chileno, disculpen)

In stock here, albeit a little highly priced. Right around your $200 bracket, though.

All you got is $200? Those chips won't work in your pentium motherboard - so you need that too.. Memory won't right either unless you have DDR PC3200 and two sticks so you may need those.. How about video? -- Need more like $$300 - 400 for a starting setup.

Buy 146 from tankguys.com $165 make into FX-55 easy.
- some cheap PC3200 2x 512 ram from muskin, PQI, Patriot, Crucial, gigaram, or other major brand - $70
-DFI Lan Party NF4 ultra $120 from tankguys.

No video card? Depending if you game or not?

Maybe look atthis motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131570

Has great on-board video.

@Zebo :...of ive got about $200 for the processor, 1000 for the computer.(thanks for the www)...this mobo? chipset 6150 all integrated?mmm...I prefer NF4 or X200.

(in english: Im really interested in overclocking, but im interest in performance too. Thats why im not shure if a get a Sandiego 3700+ or 148 (maybe 146). I dont know thoseprocesaores and I want to know the performace of an 148 (146) and 3700+ without OC and then with oc. ¿is there any bench of this proceseadorses?

@avalon: in stock where?

I want a DFI UT, 6800gs, 1gb (Im not shure about the chip and brand. Probably BH-5)

That is NF4 with a 6200 graphics built inside. Perfect for non-gamers and has DVI out for your LCD/ Frankly you can beat the price... And 146 is way to fly cheaper and FX-55 speeds are almost gurantee. Why spend $200 if you can spend $165? I don't get it?

And I WANT to PLAY. Im gonna buy a 6800GT or similar with and DFI UT-D or similar.
