i have 2 controllers ive tried in this new game, the sidewinder game pad USB (kinda old) and a gravis gamepad pro USB as well and both cant seem to be configured in the game. These controllers both work fine in madded 2k3 etc and can be calibrated fine in windows xp pro as well.. what gives?!

so far the game looks excellent, if only i could get my game pads to work it would be even better. So many things look improved and the graphics are awesome too. So far i havent been able to play it at all yet since i cant get the controllers configured properly in the game, thats why im posting for help or suggestions.. these 2 game pads, gravis gamepad pro and the sidewinder gamepad (both USB) work otherwise fine in all other games i have in win XP pro

hmm...No problems here. Using XP Pro with an old school MS Sidewinder plugged into my Live 5.1 gameport.

You can't configure them at all? or do you configure it and then when you go the game, it reverts back to the original config? If it's the second one, you have to select the configuration you saved when you select what team you want to be. Took me a little while to figure that out.

Try posting at NLSC, a site dedicated to the Live series.

I was going get the game when it first came out this week, but was advised that it was a forthcoming Xmas present, and so I wait.

Everytime I try and call a play, my team calls a timeout. I have the proper key binded, but it's not working.

Hold down the play key and then press the appropriate button. Double-pressing the play key calls a timeout on offense, and an intentional foul on defense.
