just got an xp333-r, xp1800+, crucial 256mb pc2100 and can't get it to boot. i have a tnt2 16mb vid card (going to replace soon) and can't seem to get it to post anything, won't even show me the bios. it seems that there is aproblem almost w/ the ide cables - when i connect the ide cables to the hd and cdrw, they won't respond, but when i just have the power cables connected they will respond and do everything correctly, but obviously can't boot w/out the ide cables connected. what is the possible problems? any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

Double check that the cables are hooking up correctly and that the drives are set properly as master slave etc.

Any jumpers on the mobo that allow you to run at 133 FSB? the PC2100 you have is not really meant to run at 333, and if it boots 333 by default, that could be a problem

see if there is an FSB jumper you can set, and bump it down to 133 to see if that helps.

Well you can only troubleshoot so far.. if you have swapped nearly everything the system NEEDS to post, and it still doesn't work, it is probably just a bad mobo, which really sucks, cause IWILL is known for having a very high success rate.. at least from the ppl i know that have them.. :)
