Good luck!

After I lost my job, I had three interviews setup that same evening! I was sure I was going to land on my feet quickly that I went ahead and took a scheduled vacation with my daughters.

Got back and things just didn't pan out...nothing but phone interviews or 1st round interviews that went nowhere...for 7 months.

Hope you don't end up with a similar fate. ;)

Service jobs are easy to get. There is always work for those willing to do it.

Good luck on the search train.
I can't even get a service job despite many attempts.

Hey Zephyr,

I have well documented of a process worse than pulling teeth in an attempt to get an $8 hr job stocking the shelves for Wally World for the Big Soda Company out of Atlanta.

My ex-wife was even put through hell with the prodding of the Company and I still didn't get the job.

Same thing with a $10hr job driving a bucket truck for the Cable ISP I use now.

This Country and the Companies that own it deserve the problems we are having. It is unfortunate what is happening to ordinary American Citizens and what was once called their American Dreams because of it.

One thing for sure during this Election cycle, they won't be playing "Happy Days are here again" no matter which side wins and that is the saddest thing of all :(

Just because YOU are having trouble Dave, does not mean EVERYONE is. Your experience is not the only one that matters. If the job market is so bad where you are, why don't you MOVE? I could easily get a person of your job experience a job around here making 30-35k a year. Probably much more, I'm just talking about the easy to get jobs. Of course, you would have to stop posting to actually apply for them and such.
