Problems with Zone Alarm

Why is it that whenever I set zone alarm to high security, i keep getting alerts that my isp is trying to contact my computer? Is this normal, is there a way to fix it? Right now it's so annoying i just use it on the medium secutity setting to avoid the alerts

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Just read the alert dialogs. You can turn them off by checking a box. Or go into the program's setup dialog to the Alerts page and unclick the "show popups" box.

I know that, but I wanna see when someone pings me or tries to access my netbios port, I just don't want to see it when my ISP tries to connect to my comp

ice,

Depending on what kind of connection it is that your ISP is trying to establish, I would definitely want to know about that. But if you're talking about the usual traffic, you should be able to tell ZoneAlarm to "trust" the ISP's servers by adding them to the Local Zone Contents or by altering other settings in the Advanced section of the security setup. That's on ZoneAlarm Pro. Don't know about regular ZoneAlarm. It may not have that flexibility.

Tiny Personal Firewall has this ability, also. In that software you add the ISP's servers as trusted IPs.

Hope you find a solution.

Regards,
Jim
