I have a sony lcd monitor and a projector. I bought a Y splitter monitor cable so that i can run them both at the same time. I have an 845G mobo and have not yet bought a new graphics card so i am running on the onboard graphics at the mo.
Here is the problem, with the cable attatched to both the monitor and the pro only the pro works and i either get an out of signal range or the monitor keeps going to the no signal state.
Is the cause of the problem the onboard graphics and will this be cured when i get a new graphics card. although i will be buying a graphics card with 2 outputs eventually i want to use 2 monitors and the projector so i will still need the y splitter cable.
All help will be grately appreciated
