My guess is that it is an application (WinMX) that is initiating my problem. This is the message I'm seeing too much of lately...
Delayed Write Failed - Windows was unable to save all the data for the file x.
The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere.
I get this whenever I try and save anything to My Documents folders. Initially it came up while downloading from WinMX. This message will also pop up when I visit web sites. It tells me that it cannot receive any of the various cookies that come my way.
After much fiddling I thought I would just re-install Windows 2000. The disc could not recognize my C: drive. This scared me, since I thought rebooting would lock me out of my computer since it couldn?t see my C: drive. Anyway, it came up okay. All was normal for awhile. But after a few successful downloads from WinMX I got it again. Anyone experience this sort of thing.?I have been using WinMX for a few months . No problems until now. My virus scan is reporting no problems.
