So I just formatted and installed windows 2000 pro. I got all the updates and installed k-lite mega pack. But I am still having a problem with WMP. All of my videos appear to be really white, as if the brightness is turned all the way up. I checked to make sure the brightness level on the player was normal and it was. Got all the latest updates, video card drivers are installed. (nvidia)

Any suggestions?

wrong forum? :p

j/k...so the problem is only with media player?

have you tried a different media player to see if it does the same thing?

does wmp have gamma settings built into it?

WMP is the only one I have installed, ill go grab another and see if it does the same thing.
Yes, WMP does have gamma settings built in and played with them a bit but it didnt seem to do anything but make it worse, they are on the default settigns ATM.

There are like twenty zillion threads in Video on this problem with nVidia's latest drivers.

Of course, after like 3 weeks, they still haven't felt the need to fix the issue

Fix is in there, or just use some older drivers, since the newer ones are teh ghay...

Thanks!
Fixed worked fine.
