I have a problem with my ATI TV Wonder PCI, Tyan Thunder 2500 motherboard (ServerWorks chipset), and Windows 2000. I have a Matrox G400 Max.
I run my TV Wonder, and I get vertical lines in the middle of the overlay. No matter which drivers I use, I always get them. I tested it with a PCI Voodoo 3 2000 and it worked fine, so I figured it must have to do with the AGP bus on this Tyan Thunder 2500 motherboard. It happens regardless of what DirectX version I run (7 or 8).
I think it has to do with the PCI-to-AGP Write Forwarding setting in the BIOS. The vertical lines only happens when it's set to AUTO; when I disable it, _everything_ disappears. I can't even see the display anymore, only the voices. (Black screen) When I enable it, the TV tuner displays the television show again, but the vertical lines are back.
Supposedly the PCI-to-AGP Write Forwarding allows you to tell the PCI card to send data to the AGP bus, or something like that. And since the TV Card is an overlay on the Matrox G400 AGP, it does just that.
Does anyone have a clue about what might be going on? I don't remember this happening on my Asus P3B-F.
