Problems with Win2K and DirectX

I thought Win2K was supposed to have DX7 built into it but when I reinstalled Win2K all I got was DX5. I cannot install DX7 because I get an error message saying that it is not compatible with my version of Windows?

Huh?

Nope.

Retail version.

Plus I am doing a format and reinstall of Win2K that I did only a few months ago which installed DX7.

Are you sure your getting DX5?

DX7 files start with the number 5.

I'm running DX8

Doh!

I think you are right Dave.

But for some reason UT still doesn't recognize my GeForce DDR and wants to run in software mode.

Strange.
