Problems with Wifi and DSL

So im trying to setup a WIFI network on a dsl connection.

SPECS:
DSL Modem: Zyxel 645
Router: BEFW11S4 802.11b
ISP: Sprint/Earthlink DSL

When I first installed the DSL modem to the main computer everything went ok, and the internet worked. Then when i tried to put the router into the mix, everything went downhill. In the router I tried to configuer the PPPoE and i cant seem to connect to the internet. The user name and the password is all correct i cant figure what going on.
 
Check to make sure you have the latest firmware for your router.

I've found in the past that the broadbandreports.com forums have good info from users of Linksys and other brand's products. link
