Hello, my friend is having problems with his GeForce 2 GTS video card. He gets little white spots on his screen sometimes and also, some games will not run at all or just lockup or the screen will just turn all black. His system setup is a K7s5A motherboard with a 1.4Ghz athlon and 256 mb ram. He is using a 300W power supply. Anyone have any ideas of what the problem is or how to solve it? Thanks in advance. 🙂

all I can offer you is that the same thing happened to me with my powercolor geforce2 gts , i would get white lines over the screen
1 out of every 5 boot's , so I sent it back got a new one and it works great. i would try testing another video card in your friends computer just to make sure that the video card is the culprit.

Sounds like an overheating problem, if the card isn't overclocked and he has proper ventilation in the case, he should probably return it.

yes, sounds like overheating to me too, because sometimes thats what happens when i overclock my video card too high
