Ok, I just returned my viewsonic moniter to Costco because of some dead pixels.

I exchanged it for the same exact model I had previously.

Here's the problem: With my previous moniter (same model), battlefield vietnam worked fairly well. I was playing it this morning with the old moniter before getting the new one in the evening.

After hooking up the new moniter, I booted up BFV. First, it took an usual amount of time just to get to the main menu. The screen went black for 10 seconds, then proceeded to the EA games intro. I joined a server, and expected to get in promptly.

I know how long it takes by the song that plays during the wait time. When I was playing it this time, the waiting went through 2 entire songs. Usually the wait time only makes it through 1/3 of the song.

Perhaps this was just a server problem, and I thought nothing of it. But when I got into the server, everything was running super slow. I disconnected and joined another server. Still long waiting time, and when I got in the same lag was occuring.

I NEVER had this problem when I was running the game with the old moniter.

I ran adware S.E, rebooted computer, and even went through task manager and got rid of some unnecessary programs.

Then I reopened BFV and the same exact problems were occuring.

What the hell is going on? Can a moniter affect PC performance????

Remember, it's the SAME EXACT model as I had before.

What do I do?? This is REALLY annoying and frustrating

It's a coincidence :)

There's no way a monitor is affecting the performance of your CPU, assuming you were still feeding it the same resolution.

There's surely some problem with some other part of your system, possibly :)
