Problems with video output on 7900 GTO

Every time I play a video file it seems the settings for the video aren't quite right, so I go into the nvidia control panel and change the settings around a bit. By not quite right, I mean the color is off, its too dark, too light, the people look blue or different colors, etc. But with each video it seems that I have to go in and change it again. Is there any way around this or anyone know what might be causing this problem?
