Problems with video on my box

I have an ECS K7S5A with 512MB ddr (Kingston and k-byte sticks), Athlon XP 1800+ retail and a Maxtor 60GB hdd. I started out with a Radeon 7000 64MB video card, and games I play have graphics problems. What happens is part of the screen (typically background) is not being rendered. Instead, I get a white outline of what should be there. I can see the trees and hills, but they have no color or texture. Thinking it was the video card, I switched to a new PNY Geforce4 MX 440-SE video card with 64MB of memory. The same thing happens with this card. I have defragged my hdd and reinstalled the game, but problem remains. I am well above the minimum specs of the game (actually I have nearly double recommended specs in most areas). I have the latest version of Direct X also. What else could be causing this? My case isn't hot or anything, and I have also tried running with one of the case sides off.

NM found my answer. The game supports all MS OS but the one I am running
