I have been using this product for a couple months now. I really liked the item when I first received and installed it, but now it seems to be giving me more and more problems. The biggest problem is that the fan controller does not seem to respond or make any changes at all. I have a Vantec Tornado 80mm fan on my CPU, which is connected to the Nexus panel and then from the Nexus to the motherboard. I cut the wires on the Tornado fan so that the two power wires (black and red) were in the 3-pin connector with the RPM wire (yellow). This all worked great for a couple of weeks. Now, the fan stays at about 2800RPM, and doesn't allow any fan speed control when I rotate the controller knob one way or the other. I don't want to the Tornado fan to be screamin all of the time (it's a loud fan), but I also want to be able to tone it down as much as possible too at times. Anyone else have this problem or one similar?

I also have the Vantec Nexus NXP-201 Fan Controller which I am going to be replacing shortly. While it does control the fan speeds fine, it feels cheaply made and the knobs feel gritty when they are rotated. I've seen a lot of people recommending the Sunbeam rheobus fan controller, and I think this is the item that will be replacing the Nexus fan controller here in the next week or two. Last night I tried to change my Vantec Tornado fan from the Nexus Multi-Function Panel to the Nexus Fan Controller. The Tornado fan could finally be adjusted, but the problem was the damn fan RPM alarm in the Nexus Panel sounded because nothing with a RPM Monitor wire was connected to it. The Panaflo fan that I connected to the Nexus Panel only had the black and red power wires. The Tornado is the only fan in my case that has a RPM wire. So I ended up having to put the Tornado fan back on the Nexus Panel. I again couldn't control the fan speed but at least the alarm stopped.

Is there a way to stop the alarm on this panel? What is another LCD panel that is easy to configure and use? Comments? Thanks -
