I log onto the forums and they just hang for upto a minute before the page is drawn.
Very annoying...
It happens on my pc, my work pc, and even at my friends house.
Is there anyway to speed things up here?
 
The very annoying thing I have been noticing is that the top ads always load first and fast. Then, the page hangs there (with just the ad on an otherwise blank page) for anywhere from 3-6 seconds (sometimes more) before it will finish loading. And this is with a reasonably fast cable connection. :disgust:
What happened to the enhanced speed we were promised?
 
I thought it was just happening to me..

This board is my favorite, but the pages just hang.. Doesn't happen on any to me on other boards.. Just here:disgust:

Zuni I'm running the IE version that's bundled with WinXPpro SP1 using a KT600/XP2500 MB/CPU.
 
I too have noticed occaisional "lags" on the forums.

Take into account the work being done with the servers hosting the forums and anandtech site & there upgrade plans, perhaps someone's been playing and it caused an effect temporarily.

I would imagine it is just a bandwidth problem though, as I have still managed to get the timeout error page loaded from the server 😀

Just remember how many people use the forums at one time sometimes 😛 😉
