Problems with Text Clarity on new system!

I just purchased a Dell Inspiron 8600 with a 9600 Pro Turbo video card. The system is running at 1280 x1024 @ 75hz.

The problem is the text does not look as clear as it should be even with cleartype enabled. Also the resolution is high but it looks like it is only 1024x768.

Anyone know how I can fix this?

Are you using an LCD monitor?

Yes I am using a Docking station with a LCD screen. Is that the problem? If it is any way to fix it?

If it's Native Resolution is 1024x768 then you will need to run it at that resolution. LCD's are not like CRT's

try running at 60hz since its an LCD
