For some reason my laptop has decided to stop connecting automatically when it boots up. IBM Access Connections says the connection is enabled and working and it pulls a valid IP but I'm unable to ping any other computers on the network or access the internet. If I open IBM Access Connections and hit disconnect and then connect it starts working. I have noticed that if I open up Network Connections I notice that when it is working there is an internet gateway that is enabled and when it isn't working this gateway isn't presant. What gives. Setup is the Intel b card and a linksys router with DHCP enabled and connected to a cable modem. There are both other wired and wireless computers on the network, but that doesn't really matter.

it may be a similar problem that some people with intel pro wireless have. since it seems that ibm software is handling your networking, you may want to disable the part where windows is trying to also handle your networking.

check the wireless networks tab on your wireless network connectino properties

The "Use Windows to configure your wireless network" in the network properties is unchecked.
